What are contour implants?

Contour implants are specially designed implants used to give certain parts of the face more volume, projection, or support.

Within Facial Feminization Surgery, temporal PEEK implants and paranasal implants are primarily used to further refine facial proportions. They can help to fill in sunken temples, soften the transition between the nose and the upper jaw, or better balance specific contours.

Although these treatments are often less well-known than forehead recontouring or rhinoplasty, they can make a significant contribution to a harmonious final result.

Why choose contour implants?

More facial volume

Restores contours that have insufficient projection or support.

Harmonious proportions

Improves the balance between different parts of the face.

Individual approach

Implants are tailored to your anatomy and wishes.

Permanent result

Provides long-lasting and stable contour improvement.

Sometimes subtle contour corrections ensure

for the greatest harmony in a face.

The treatment process

Consultation

During an extensive consultation, we analyze your facial structure and discuss which zones could benefit from extra support or volume.

Analysis

We assess the contours of the temples, nasal base, upper jaw, and surrounding structures.

Personal treatment plan

Based on your anatomy, we determine which implants are most suitable.

The intervention

The implants are precisely placed to create natural contour improvements.

Result

After recovery, a more balanced and feminine facial structure emerges.

For which zones are these implants used?

Depending on the anatomy, different zones of the face can be treated.

Temporal implants

PEEK implants can be used to fill in sunken temples and create a softer transition between the forehead and cheekbones.

Paranasal implants

Are placed next to the base of the nose to give more projection to the mid-face region.

Mid-face

Improve the support and balance of the central facial structures.

Facial Feminization Surgery

Are often combined with other feminizing treatments for optimal results.

Refinement of contours with respect for your anatomy

Not every face needs major changes. Sometimes, small adjustments to specific contours can create a much more harmonious whole.

By adding volume where support is lacking, facial structures can be better aligned without the result looking unnatural.

At o2 Clinic (2pass Clinic), we always analyze the entire face so that any implants contribute to a subtle and balanced feminization of the face.

Recovery & Aftercare

After the placement of contour implants, swelling and tenderness may occur in the treated areas. These reactions are normal and gradually subside during the first few weeks after the procedure.

Depending on the location of the implants, temporary tension or a slight sensation of pressure may occur while the tissues adapt to the new contours.

During the follow-up consultations, we closely monitor the healing and check the position of the implants. As the swelling subsides, the new contours become increasingly visible.

The final result develops gradually and is retained for a long time.
