Preparation
The area to be treated is carefully cleansed and prepared. Ensure that you do not shave the hair for 5 to 7 days before the treatment for the face and up to 10 days for the genitals, so that the hair is clearly visible.
Treatment
Using a fine probe, each hair follicle is treated individually via a controlled electrical impulse.
Hair removal
After the treatment, the loosened hairs are carefully removed using tweezers.

To guarantee the quality and precision of every treatment, each patient treated by one assigned electrologist throughout the entire sessionIt is not possible to have multiple electrologists working on the same treatment zone simultaneously. For treatments of the genital area a maximum duration applies half a day (3 hours and 45 minutes) per session. These treatments are very intensive, both physically and mentally, for both the patient and the practitioner. Therefore, we consciously opt for a maximum treatment time that guarantees comfort, safety, and quality.
This method not only shortens the total duration of the treatment process but also limits the number of trips to the clinic. That is why many national and international patients also choose our specialized approach.

Hair growth phases and treatment frequency
Active growth phase
Electrolysis works most effectively on hairs that are in the active growth phase. In this phase, the hair follicle is most accessible, allowing for targeted treatment.
Rest phase
Hairs that are in the resting phase at the time of treatment are not yet actively visible or treatable. These hairs will become active again later and must be treated during a subsequent session.
Multiple sessions
Therefore, electrolysis is always built up over multiple sessions. We can never say with certainty in advance exactly how many sessions will be needed. This depends on, among other things, hair growth, hair thickness, the treated area, and the individual skin response.
Evolution of the trajectory
As the process progresses, fewer and fewer hairs grow back. As a result, the sessions usually become shorter as well.
Interval between treatments
To work as effectively as possible, we recommend maintaining an interval of approximately 6 to 8 weeks between treatments.

Recovery & Aftercare
Aftercare after electrolysis
Proper aftercare contributes to a smooth recovery and reduces the risk of irritation. It is normal for the skin to react sensitively for a while after the treatment. With the right care, these reactions usually disappear within a few days.
Our aftercare advice
For optimal recovery, we recommend following the following guidelines:
- Apply the recommended aftercare lotion according to your electrologist's instructions.
- Use during the first three days No make-up, alcohol-based skin products, scrubs, or other irritating care products on the treated area.
- Avoid direct exposure to the sun and tanning beds during drie tot vijf dagen. Afterwards, always use a sunscreen with a high protection factor when the treated area is exposed to the sun.
- In case of redness or swelling, you can during 15 minutes apply a cool compress or ice pack (wrapped in a cloth). Then wait at least 10 minutes before you possibly repeat this.

What skin reactions can you expect?
After an electrolysis treatment, it is normal for the skin to react temporarily. The severity of these reactions varies from person to person and depends on the treated area and the sensitivity of the skin.
Possible, normal skin reactions are:
- slight redness;
- a warm or burning sensation;
- a slight swelling;
- small scabs that form during the healing process.
These reactions usually disappear spontaneously within a few days. Always allow any scabs to come off on their own and touch them as little as possible. This reduces the risk of infection or scarring.
Are there risks associated with electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a safe and clinically proven method for permanent hair removal when the treatment is performed correctly by an experienced electrologist.
