What is a thigh lift?

A thigh lift is a surgical procedure in which excess skin and subcutaneous tissue are removed from the thighs. The treatment is often performed when the skin has lost its elasticity due to aging, weight loss, or genetic factors.

After significant weight loss, the skin cannot always retract sufficiently, resulting in excess skin on the inner thighs. This can not only be aesthetically bothersome but also cause physical discomfort during walking or sports.

With a thigh lift, the contours of the legs are refined and the skin takes on a tighter and firmer appearance.

Why choose a thigh lift?

Removal of excess skin

Corrects sagging skin that no longer retracts on its own.

Tighter leg contours

Ensures a more streamlined and balanced shape of the legs.

More comfort

Can reduce friction, irritation, and discomfort between the legs.

Improved body balance

Restores the contours of the legs and lower body to harmony.

Self-confidence often begins

with comfortable movement in your own body.

The treatment process

Consultation

During an extensive consultation, we discuss your expectations and analyze the skin quality and contours of the legs.

Analysis

We assess the amount of excess skin and determine which technique is most suitable.

Personal treatment plan

Based on your anatomy, we put together a treatment plan that meets your wishes.

The intervention

Excess skin is removed and the remaining tissues are carefully tightened.

Result

After recovery, a smoother skin texture and a tighter contour of the thighs emerge.

Who is a thigh lift suitable for?

A thigh lift can be a suitable treatment for patients bothered by sagging skin on the legs.

After significant weight loss

When excess skin remains despite a stable weight.

Sagging skin due to aging

When skin elasticity decreases and contours fade.

Discomfort during movement

For friction or irritation on the inside of the legs.

Insufficient results in sports

When muscle building cannot correct skin sagging.

A refinement of your natural contours

The goal of a thigh lift is to bring the legs into better proportion with the rest of the body. By removing excess skin, the contours become more clearly visible and a tighter leg line is created.

At o2 Clinic, we strive for a result that looks natural and complements your body shape. We take into account the transition between the hips, thighs, and knees so that the overall look remains harmonious.

The treatment can make a significant contribution to both the aesthetic result and daily comfort.

Recovery & Aftercare

After a thigh lift, the treated tissues need time to fully heal and adapt to the new contours.

Swelling, bruising, and a feeling of tightness in the thighs are normal reactions during the first few weeks after the procedure. These symptoms gradually decrease as recovery progresses.

Depending on the treatment, a compression garment is often recommended to support healing and limit swelling. During follow-up consultations, we closely monitor the recovery and provide advice on exercise, sports, and scar care.

The final result becomes visible once the skin is fully healed and the contours have stabilized.
